Marriages

Mr TONIO BORG and Ms MARIA DEPASQUALE
The marriage took place on Saturday, June 6 at St Mary's parish church, Attard, between TONIO, son of Mr and Mrs M. Borg, and MARIA, daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Depasquale. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Stefan Attard and Fr Salvino Spagnol, OCD, and witnessed by Kenneth Xuereb, Antonio Depasquale and Roberto Depasquale. The duties of best man were carried out by George Dunbar Cousin and Ryan Debono. The bride was attended by Annika Galea, Christine Callus and Michela Borg. Also accompanying her were Matthew and Andrew Xuereb as pageboys and Julia Xuereb as flower-girl. A reception was afterwards held at the Grand Hotel Excelsior, Floriana.

The marriage took place on Tuesday, June 16, 1959, at St Patrick's church, Sliema. Fr Eugene Tonna, O.Carm., S.Th.D. officiated. Congratulations, fondest love and gratitude from your children Mario and Angela, Josanne and Simon, Antonella and Mark, and your grandchildren David, Veronica, Malcolm, Carl, Andrea, Steven and Elena. Obituary

AGIUS. On June 12, SHEILA née Chalmers, aged 85, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Maurice, her children Andrew and his wife Patricia, Frances and Per Bergedahl, Gillian and Victor Sciriha, her grandsons Nick, Mark, Steve and Chris, her sisters-in-law Sr Tessie Agius RSCJ. Doris de Gabriele, Maryclaire Agius, Rose Agius, Jeanne Agius and her devoted carers Andreana Sammut and Wilma Frendo. The funeral will be held tomorrow at Our Lady of Lourdes parish church San Ġwann at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment, as she wished, in her father's grave at Ta' Braxia Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Mission Fund in Mosta will be appreciated.

DEBONO. On June 12, ANTONIA nee Azzopardi, aged 95, passed peacefully away. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Maria and her husband Carmelo, her son Joseph and his wife Margaret, her grand-children and great-grandchildren, family and friends. The funeral will be held at Balluta parish church, St Julian's, tomorrow at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Qrendi Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.

GRECH. On June 12, aged 55, at Mater Dei Hospital, RITA passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Nazzarenu, her children Moira and her boyfriend Mark Sammut and Vanessa and her boyfriend Tonio Cachia, her brothers and sisters, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.15 a.m. for St George's Parish Church in Qormi where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 7.45 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

ZERAFA. On June 13, CARMELO, born in Qormi, of Balzan, residing at Villa Messina, Rabat, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church, at the age of 89. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Frances, née Mizzi, his daughters Rosanne and Jane, his sons George, Joseph and Michael, their respective spouses, his grandchildren, his brother Max and his sisters Sr Georgina, Sr Francesca and Sr Concetta, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Villa Messina tomorrow at 1.30 p.m. for the St Theresa Sanctuary, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. The family wish to thank the management and staff of Villa Messina for their dedicated care. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

In Memoriam

BUHAGIAR - RONALD. On his 20th anniversary. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed. His wife Cicely, daughter Anna-Maria, son Gerald and his wife Stephanie, granddaughter Chiara and Jo Cutajar Beck.

CASSAR. Today is the fifth anniversary since JAMES was tragically killed in a car accident. Mourned by his father Gregory, his mother Ilona and brother Samuel. Missed by all his uncles and aunts and grieved by his grandparents Dr Carmelo (Bru) and Anthony and Vanessa. With the passing of years James' loss is no easier to bear. We miss him.

CASSAR TORREGGIANI - ANTONIO. In enduring remembrance of a very fine father, grandfather, and great-grandfather on his 50th anniversary. Today's 5.30 p.m. Mass at Balzan parish church will be offered for the repose of his soul. May he rest in the eternal light and peace of the love of the Holy Trinity.
