A motorcyclist was injured after colliding with a vehicle in Tower Road, Sliema, yesterday afternoon.

Both the motorcycle and the vehicle were travelling in the same direction towards Dingli Street when the accident took place in front of Independence Gardens. The motorcycle rebounded onto a parked car across the road.

The rider's injuries are not serious, the police said.

An ambulance arrived within minutes, but was blocked by two trucks approaching from the opposite direction.
