AGIUS. On June 12, SHEILA née Chalmers, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Maurice, her children Andrew and his wife Patricia, Frances and Per Bergedahl, Gillian and Victor Sciriha, her grandsons Nick, Mark, Steve and Chris, her sisters-in-law Sister Tessie Agius.RSCJ,.Doris de Gabriele, Maryclaire Agius, Rose Agius, Jeanne Agius and her devoted carers Andreana Sammut and Wilma Frendo. The funeral will be held on Monday, June 15 at Our Lady of Lourdes parish church San Ġwann at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment, as she wished, in her father's grave at Ta'Braxia Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Mission Fund in Mosta will be appreciated.

CARUANA. On June 11, at Karin Grech Hospital, MARIA of Tarxien, aged 82, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Carmelo and his wife Mary, Ċettina and her husband Joseph, Nina and her husband Twanny, Domenica, widow of Joseph, Mario and his wife Ġiġa, Grace and her husband Costantino, Lorenza and her husband Alfred, and Vincent and his wife Anna, her grandchildren, her sisters-in-law Karmena, Ġużeppa and Katarin, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Hospital today at 4 p.m. for the Annunciation parish church, Tarxien, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4.30 p.m., followed by interment at Ta' l-Erwieħ Cemetery, Tarxien. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Theatre at Melita

Androcles and the Lion by George Bernard Shaw will be staged at Melita Gardens in Balzan on June 19, 20 and 21 at 8 p.m. Tickets cost €10. The event is organised by Rotaract Malta and produced by Nonsuch productions. All proceeds will go into the trust fund of Sven Mifsud, a child with a rare medical condition.

Monopoly tournament

The winner of today's Monopoly tournament in Bay Street complex, St Julians, will represent the country in the world championships later this year.

The Monopoly Word Championships, to be held in Las Vegas in October, will see national champions from more than 40 countries competing for the grand prize of about $20,000.

Today's tournament kicks off at 10 a.m. in the complex's Artisan Market. Tomorrow, classic cars will be on display at the same venue.
