Samuel Azzopardi has been elected mayor of Victoria, Gozo, surpassing Robert Tabone by 10 votes. Both represent the PN.

While Mr Azzopardi obtained 634 first count votes, Mr Tabone got 624. The quota is 534.

Mr Azzopardi is the second newcomer to become mayor in Gozo, after Labour's Philip Vella in Sannat.

Marcell Tabone, PN, was elected on the fifth count. Joseph Debrincat and Michael Portelli, both PL, were elected on the seventh count. Michel Buttigieg, PL, and Josef Schembi, PN, were elected on the eighth count.
