The PN's Malcolm Mifsud will be retaking the mayorship of Pieta since the Nationalist Party has regained a majority.

He obtained 948 first count votes against a quota of 399. The PN lost its majority to the PL three years ago.

Labour's Jessie Fabri was also elected on the first count, obtaining 404 votes.

Annhelica Agius (PN) was elected on the second count and Anthony Camilleri (PL) on the fifth. Michael Seychell, PN, was elected on the seventh count.
