Zaki ruled out of Confed. Cup

Egypt striker Amr Zaki has been ruled out of the Confederations Cup with a hamstring injury and been replaced by Mohamed Mohsen Abougreisha, FIFA said.

Greaves gets 1966 World Cup medal

England striker Jimmy Greaves, controversially left out of the World Cup final team in 1966, was presented with a winner's medal this week along with the other 10 squad members who did not play in the game.

The decision by manager Alf Ramsey to leave out Greaves, now 69, was a huge talking point in the build-up to the final against West Germany which England won 4-2 thanks to a hat-trick by striker Geoff Hurst.

"It's been a long wait, but in the days we played, only the 11 that played in the final got the medals," Greaves said.

"All the squad now get a medal. It's very nice but if Sir Alf was still around we'd have probably got it sooner."

During the season Schwarzer also became the longest-serving Australian international of all time, racking up almost 16 years since his senior international debut against Canada in a World Cup qualifier on July 31, 1993.

Hiddink hands Arshavin captaincy

Eto'o has one year remaining on his contract and Laporta said extending that "depends on two parties, but we have a wage structure that we will respect.
