The second season of the Pentasia Champions League tournament reached a thrilling climax recently with an exciting final between Betsson and Expekt FC to determine the winners.

Held at the St Catherine's School grounds in Pembroke, the match was a closely fought affair and as the final whistle blew, the teams were locked on a 2-2 draw after two goals apiece from Markus Klintborg and Lars Johansson.

Extra-time followed but neither side was able to break the deadlock despite a hatful of chances.

With the penalty shoot-out count at 4-3, Niklas Joelsson, of Expekt FC, stepped up to score what proved to be the winner.

This result crowned a superb season for Expekt FC, winners of both the league and cup competitions.
