Man fined for threatening MP
A 40-year-old company director this morning pleaded guilty to threatening Labour MP Marie Louise Coleiro Preca through an SMS .
George Grech sent an SMS to Mrs Coleiro Preca warning her that if she asked another parliamentary question about his block of flats near l-Armerija in Qormi, he would explode her.
The court heard how Mr Grech was afraid that nobody would buy his flats because of Ms Coleiro Preca's parliamentary interventions and that he had all the necessary permits to built them.
Magistrate Miriam Hayman fined Mr Grech €350 and ordered him not to approach or speak to Mrs Coleiro Preca for the next two years.

Ah yes, the “dark MLP days of the 70’s and 80’s”
No wait; it’s 2009 under a PN administration. So, we changed by staying the same then.

A €350 (Lm150) fine to this contractor will surely serve him right and he'll think twice before commiting such acts in the future.

Sincerely believe that this shows once again how much Coleiro Preca is dedicated to her work, especially in her district. A courageous, down-to-earth woman, it is not a surprise then that she is the candidate with the most votes after the Parties' leaders. Way to go, Marie Louise!

Imagine had it been an illegal immigrant who had been harassed!!!! All the NGOs, Graffiti, and Monsignors would be protesting and writing! THAT is part of the racism against our own people. We can crumble and no one would lift a finger to defend us!

I wonder if such an incident is given the same importance by the Nationalist Party media as the Zejtun incident?

350 Euros? Apparently the magistrate thinks MP. Louise Coleiro Preca's life is worth less than a small airconditioner, fridge, T.V. set ....This judgement should go into the Guineas Book of Records!

Since Graffiti are so willing to protect people, why not a protest against harassers?
