UHM warns of industrial action at Gozo Channel

The UHM has warned it will resort to industrial action at Gozo Channel from Saturday because some workers were not being paid as much as others for the same work.

The union said the categories that are being effected are the mooring men and the terminal assistants.

It did not give details on what actions it would order, but said it had registered an industrial dispute with the company and was insisting that there should be equal pay for equal work.

The union said its representations with the company management had not borne fruit.
