Although I am no expert it seems to stand to reason that by clearing up the stones this bay could easily grow up to three times its current length. I'm sure that a small bulldozer could make easy work of this. However close we are to the peak season, nobody seems to want to bother to restore this beach to its original length. It's no secret that we don't have many beaches in Malta. Especially in summer, Għajn Tuffieħa and the other sandy beaches are considered by both locals and tourists to be an ideal place where to spend a few hours on a hot afternoon.
I simply cannot understand how everyone, especially the ministers concerned, can sit around and do nothing while one of Malta's prime beaches is getting smaller and smaller. It is about time that the ministries responsible for the environment and for tourism take note and act!
