The recent Business Continuity event organised by Shireburn Software was attended by 330 people, showing the high level of interest that organisations have in ensuring the continuity of their business operations.

"Attracting 330 people to this event was very satisfying," said John de Giorgio, managing director of Shireburn Software, "and judging by the stream of complimentary e-mails that we received after the event it is clear that we managed to address the needs of the participants and strike a chord with the material and solutions presented. It was also interesting to note the number of non-IT personnel who attended."

As companies increase their dependence on their IT infrastructures so it becomes necessary to ensure that all operations can survive anything from a minor hiccup to a major disaster. Attendees of the event were provided with an overview of Business Continuity planning and then were introduced to a range of solutions that Shireburn offers in the market ranging from automated off-site data backup, server redundancy systems, anti-virus and anti-spam solutions and security protection against data theft on USB devices, portable hard disks, smart phones etc.

Shireburn also launched the Shireburn DataSafe service which offers companies a scheduled and automated means for backing-up their critical business data to secure off-site servers at monthly prices starting from €35 for 5GB of data.
