Gonzi hopes MEPs pull the same rope

Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi this afternoon congratulated Malta's MEPs on their election and augured they would work together to get the best for Malta from the European Parliament.

Dr Gonzi had a meeting with the MEPs at the Auberge de Castille.

He said that the country depended on them to give their maximum contribution and he looked forward to coordinated action, even though they were elected from different parties, to ensure that they achieved what was in the national interest.
