The Fair Play awards of the Cyprus Games were presented at the Nicosia Hilton Hotel, yesterday. This was the first time that these awards were introduced to the GSSE in conjunction with the World and European Fair Play Movement.

Cyprus's athletics champion Andri Shialou, 36, received the Individual Award for Fair Play after winning two gold medals (400m and 400m hurdles) in this GSSE, ending her career in a memorable way.

The Team Award was presented to the women's volleyball team of Iceland and the Fair Play Movement award went to Rafael Stacchiotti, of Luxemburg.
