Golden girls get their award
The women's basketball team players were presented with their gold medal in an official ceremony at the Eleftheria Hall yesterday. MOC Director of Sport Mark Cutajar and general secretary Joe Cassar presented the medals to the ecstatic girls who were celebrating their second gold medal in the GSSE after the triumph in Malta of 2003. Iceland were second and Cyprus third.
