Over the past six months various exchange visits of students, lecturers and senior management have taken place between the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (Mcast) and the Faculté des Metiers in Paris. The French college has strong relationships with France's automobile and aviation sectors, including the Renault Formula One team and Air France, and a formal partnership agreement will shortly be signed between the two institutions.

Last month, a delegation from French college visited Mcast to see its training resources and start mapping vocational training programmes to facilitate the transfer of students between the two colleges, including the automobile and aviation maintenance sector. The delegation also visited various companies, including Playmobil, Actavis, and Medavia.

Emanuel Attard, project director for the new Mcast campus and Emmanuel Zahra, director of college's Institute of Mechanical Engineering subsequently visited the French college's brand new facilities, which were inaugurated last September. They also met students on their apprenticeship phase at French firms.
