Nicolai Portelli led Team Malta to a flurry of medals on the final day of the track and field events at the GSP Sports Complex in Nicosia.

The Maltese sprinter grabbed two silver medals in the 200m and the 4x100m relay and then helped the relay team to a bronze in the 4x400 metres.

Giselle Camilleri was the other medallist for Malta on the track when the middle distance runner took third place in the 5,000 metres final to take Malta's overall tally at the end of the Games to 21 medals - three gold, five silver and 13 bronze to finish sixth overall.
