AXISA. On June 3, ARIADNE, née Cachia, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, at the age of 89. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Gerald and Maryanne, Marguerite Portelli, John and Jay, Peter and Marica, her beloved grandchildren Johanna and Eric, Karen, Edward and Diane, Andrew and Debbie, Simon and Vanessa, Michael and Agnieszka, Michelle and Simon, Tanya, Sandra, Kristina and her adored great grandchildren Jessica, Kenneth, Rory, Thomas, Louisa, Matthew, Andrea, Timmy, Kaya, Mila, Miguel and Pedro, her sister Arthemis De Maria, sister-in-law Marie Cachia, her devoted carer Usha, her nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St James Capua today for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares will be appreciated.

DESPOTT. On June 5, PAULINE, née Mifsud, widow of Norman, aged 88, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her daughter Greta and her husband Anthony, her beloved grandsons Seminarian Marc-Andre, Keith and James Norman, her brother-in-law Donald and his wife Giovanella, her nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for Our Saviour parish church, Lija, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.15 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Casa Antonia, Balzan and Mater Dei Hospital for their excellent care and dedication. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Father's day

Mass will be celebrated at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery on Father's Day, June 21, at 10 a.m.

The Zejtun local council will be holding an outing to celebrate the day on June 18.

Vodafone customers can receive news on the latest developments during this weekend's European Parliament election.

Romanian voters

Romanian nationals may vote in the European parliamentary election tomorrow between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. at the Honorary Consulate of Romania, South Street, Valletta.

Concert

A flute and accordion concert, organised by Din l-Art Helwa, will be held at Bir Miftuh chapel, outside Luqa Airport, today at 8 p.m.
