Caruana leaves her mark in floor exercise
Kirsty Caruana won her second medal in gymnastics after placing third in the Artistic floor exericse final in Limassol, yesterday.
Caruana, a member of the side that placed third in the team competition on Tuesday, left another good impression with a polished display that earned her 12.800 points to finish third just ahead of team-mate Adriana Zammit, fourth on 12.200.
Iceland filled the top two placings with Thelma Hermannsdottir landing gold, 13.300, and team-mate Frida Run Einarsdottir silver, 12.800.
Caruana also contested the vault final yesterday and finished fifth behind Nicole Pace. The top three places were filled by Luxembourg's Laurence Risse and Cyprus duo Athena Stavrinaki-Panayi and Marilena Georgiou.
Meanwhile, Philip Caruana Turner failed to repeat his third place in Monaco two years ago after finishing fifth.
The title here went to Constantinos Aristotelous, of Cyprus.

Well done girls. Against all the odds you pulled of remarkable results. Malta is proud of you all. May this encourage others to go for there dream. Keep it up, never let your heads drop, knowing you can do it if you aim high, remain dedicated and believe you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. CHAMPIONS!!!!

Well done Nicole, Kirsty and Adreana for a magnificent performance yesterday that clinched the bronze team medal. Well done Kirsty for your floor bronze! Well done Nicole for a brave near medal on the Vault against all odds proving you are the champion inside we all know you to be! Words can't express the joy we feel especially after a month long of torment and heart break over your legitimate qualification.
