Maltese companies and businessmen interested in doing business in Germany or with German businesses are encouraged to participate in a seminar being organised by the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry together with the Embassy for the Federal Republic of Germany on June 10 at the Exchange Buildings, Republic Street, Valletta.
This event is one of a series of Doing Business With information seminars that the Malta Chamber is organising, in line with its internationalisation events and other initiatives. Last week, the Malta Chamber organised a similar programme of seminars regarding business opportunities with Switzerland and the Czech Republic, which were well received by members.
Furthermore, the Malta Chamber recently hosted a business delegation from Milan, while also holding an explanatory meeting with senior officials of the Maltese Australian Chamber of Commerce.
A series of speakers will be addressing the seminar, including German Ambassador Karl Andreas Von Stenglin and Malta Chamber president Helga Ellul.
Olaf Reick, economic and commercial affairs officer at the Embassy of Germany, will give participants practical information about business opportunities in the German market.
Christian Pisani will address the seminar from a lawyer's perspective. Dr Pisani will discuss contractual issues, namely jurisdiction and choice of law clauses, as well as contract negotiations.
Malta Chamber Internationalisation manager Klaus Pedersen, as well as a Malta Enterprise representative, will also address the participants. A Maltese entrepreneur will be talking about his experience of conducting business in Germany.
The event will be held from 9.30 to 11.30 a.m.
For further information, one may contact Klaus Pedersen on klaus.pedersen@maltachamber.org.mt.
The event is being organised in collaboration with HSBC, Malta Enterprise and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
