Reading Alan Deidun's letter (May 30) I was relieved to get to know what he thinks about family Christian values.
I am afraid he is right when he says that some EU candidates sit on the fence when it comes to speaking against divorce and sticking up for Christian values.
Practising Christians need to know exactly what each candidate stands for and whether they have thrown their treasured family values to the dogs, like many in the EU.
I admire Dr Deidun for his courage, honesty and for upholding the very principles he values most - what matters most to him, matters to us.
Regarding the immigrants when asked whether he would send any human being back without first getting to know why they risked their lives to come here at all, Dr Deidun said, like President Emeritus Eddie Fenech Adami, that he would treat every human being with kindness and would make sure no one suffers.
I think Dr Deidun is the ideal person to be elected MEP.
