I am writing to express my dissatisfaction at the way the Birkirkara local council is treating us residents of Cat's Lane, Swatar. The pavement in front of our residence is disastrous.

I called and e-mailed the Birkirkara local council and the mayor and I was finally promised by the executive secretary via e-mail on May 13 that "all works will be completed by next week". After several other phone calls and e-mails the pavement is still very similar to what we see on television in Afghanistan.

I have one simple question to ask the mayor and local council: When will they repair the pavement in Cat's Lane, Swatar?

I really hope the mayor visits the residents in the following days as part of his election canvassing for votes.
