An innovative production of the play GF: Geni e Fenomeni scripted and directed by the Italian department of St Benedict College's Boys Secondary, Kirkop, took pride of place at the school's Prize Day held on May 7. The play, which celebrates the European Year dedicated to creativity and innovation, presents six famous Italian personalities of the past - Leonardo da Vinci, Caravaggio, Meucci, Marconi, Gentileschi and Galilei - who find themselves living under one roof in today's world and watched over by television cameras, and do their best to stand out and boast of their masterpieces and discoveries.

The school band, directed by Andrew Pace, and the school choir, directed by Romina Memo, also performed a medley of traditional Neapolitan songs.
