The European Institute of Education (Eie) is setting up a School of Logistics, Supply Chain and Operations Management. Andrew Saliba was appointed head of school.
The school will be inaugurated with the launch of a number of lecture-based study programmes which the institute will be offering in Purchasing. Other related study programmes will be introduced shortly.
Purchasing courses include certificates, advanced certificates and diplomas awarded and accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
The Eie was also recently appointed and registered as provider of the CIPS qualification in Malta.
Mr Saliba holds an M.Sc. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Cranfield University (UK) and a Diploma in Logistics from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). For the past 27 years, he was involved in warehousing and distribution activities with a leading German manufacturing plant in Malta. Mr Saliba is involved in consultancy and training specialising in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
For the past six years, he has lectured at the University of Malta, the Eie and Mcast. He is an international assessor of students studying for the Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Transport through CILT(UK).
