I refer to the article entitled Caritas Usury Spokesman Admits To Being Casino Consultant (May 20).
The article in question clearly implies that my client, John Zammit is a paid employee of Caritas while in actual fact he performs such work on a voluntary basis.
The use of words such as "spokesman" and "representative" cannot but lead the reader to believe this. The article also implies that Mr Zammit has a conflict of interest since he also gives his services, on a consultancy basis, to a local casino.
For clarity's sake my client wishes to point out that the services provided by him, do not, in any way, involve the management of gaming but consist in auditing, compliance, and training of staff in security procedures and the prevention of money laundering as required by law.
