The blood donation unit said yesterday it had received several e-mails and telephone calls questioning the validity of an e-mail making the rounds claiming it needed blood for someone with stomach cancer. The unit said it had no such patient requesting any particular type of blood but it always accepted any donors wanting to give blood.
