Welcome Malta To Europe 360° out tomorrow with The Times

The third issue in the Miranda 360° collection of magazines distributed with The Times monthly will be out tomorrow.

Welcome Malta To Europe 360° draws out one of Malta's characteristics as a nation: the European calling.

The publication charts Malta's European journey from 1970 to those fateful days in 2003 when the people voted for EU membership, the political leaders then signed the Accession Treaty at the foot of the Acropolis in Athens and the subsequent celebrations.

The publication includes a foreword by President Emeritus Eddie Fenech Adami and personal contributions from personalities in Malta and the European Union who were involved in such an important transition in the islands' history.

Photographs by some of the finest professional photographers attending the unfolding events add further distinctive, visual reportage.

Welcome Malta To Europe 360° was more than just a collector's item recording a momentous event but a historical portfolio that marked the day the Maltese islands shaped their own future by becoming an active member of the European Union.

"This is not a magazine to reminisce about the past; it is a keepsake of our European future that is still very young," he added.

The Miranda 360° collection is printed on FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper by Progress Press, a member of the Allied Group.

The price of The Times will tomorrow increase from 60c to €1.
