The only vote that counts
Why should I vote? I don't like any of them? Ever wondered what happens if you don't vote?
First of all it's a God-given right and a privilege to vote. Secondly, if you don't vote for anybody that means that you just gave your opponent your yes vote. So even if you don't have a favourite, pick the best candidate that you think will do the best job and vote for him/her. Leave politics at home and ask yourself who is the best candidate that can best represent you, never mind the party association or politics. Who do you want to represent you and Malta at the EU for the next five years?
Choose wisely and vote for the best candidate. You only have one vote but it's the only vote that counts.

@Mr Calleja
I never said whether i was voting or not. let alone which candidate. i just pointed out that votes are not god-given, but came about because a lot of our ancestors fought for them.(But God help you if you are foreign and living in Malta . Then you get struck off and not a bleating protest from any of the candidates who eventually want to represent us!!)
Also, not voting does not give a vote to my opponent, (since when are candidates described as opponents?) , a non-vote is a non -vote for ALL my enemies. And yes i think i know the track record of our candidates. But here's the funny thing. This campaign has not been about EU issues but about Maltese issues and they have ALL been incredibly xenophobic and economical with the truth. this campaign has left me with a very bad taste in my mouth

@CallejaJoseph:::::Well, I was not going to vote in June, but seeing the TVM Lou Bondi pro gramme yesterday between the PL & PN plus the two small parties, found that there is....Only one party that is saying the plain, clear truth; Other one clearly used lying technicality from his left, right & Centre; The other one is trying to "steal votes" by changing his name; and the other one by saying that he's a "green saint."
Of these four, I discovered that only one person had a solid responsive style in this debate, and did not turn into red nosed face when faced with some question or replies by opponent, was prompt in replies. Yes, this person and those that are going to be representing this party do now deserve my solid vote and be making my final choice of my five or six MEP representatives. I do hope that others like me have seen the light as I clearly did.
Yes, I saw the light and have now decided. Have you? don't ask me who....? You saw Lou Bondi .......But just GUESS>>>>
P.S. Don't think of L.Bondi he was quite red, BUT..sun-burned!!!

@ Mr Chircop
To answer your question, I am neither a PN/PL or any other party affiliate. I vote for the candidate that represents me best.
@ Mr Gatt
Maybe you should get to know your candidate, s/he is going do make some serious decisions that might effect the rest of your life. A lot of people in this world don't get the choice of who to vote for, lucky for us we do!.

In the space of a few lines Mr Calleja manages to fit more illogical statements than sardines in a can. Since when is a vote god-given? Did s/he send it down from Mount Sinai along with the Ten Commandment?. Since when is a candidate my 'opponent' . I hardly know them, so how can they be my enemy? And, best of all, how can one leave politics at home when voting is a political decision?
