The Lisbon treaty is bad for Malta, and the Maltese people should be given a fresh opportunity to discuss it, according to Malcolm Seychell, a candidate on the Azzjonali Nazzjonali ticket for the European Parliament elections.

He said the treaty was positive in that it allocated a sixth EP seat for Malta, but the country would lose the all important veto.
