Home Affairs Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici has said the government had no intention of legislating on the carriage of firearms for self-defence. He was answering a parliamentary question by Labour MP Anthony Agius Decelis.

Firearms licensed under the Firearms Act are intended for sporting aims, including hunting or collection.
