A Cospicua man was yesterday remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to assaulting his wife and son and three police officers.

Appearing before Magistrate Audrey Demicoli, the 46-year-old was charged with domestic violence and assaulting and slightly injuring two police sergeants and a police constable on Friday evening in Cospicua.

He was also accused of threatening his wife, using a firearm.

The accused pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody.

Police Inspector Fabian Fleri prosecuted.

The name is not being published to protect the identity of the woman and her son.
