Unesco Club's 40th anniversary

The President and Mrs Abela were the guests of honour at the Unesco Club (Malta)'s 40th anniversary dinner at the Grand Hotel Excelsior recently.

Among other guests was Lionel Vinour, chairman of the European Federation Clubs, and members of his executive committee, who were meeting in Malta.

President Abela congratulated the Unesco Club on its anniversary and said that the photographic exhibition, which was inaugurated before the dinner by Tourism Parliamentary Secretary Mario de Marco, highlighted its many successful activities. He wished the club further success in future.

There are some 4,000 Unesco clubs in over 100 countries.
