The new Maltese Ambassador to France Mark Miggiani was the Association France-Tunisie's guest of honour at a lecture delivered by Estelle de Montgolfier on the Siege of Malta (1940-1943) at the Ministry of Agriculture in Paris, France.

Prof. de Montgolfier gave a detailed account of the heroic resistance of the country's defenders based on the most recent documentation available.

Ambassador Miggiani thanked the association for inviting him and praised the speaker for her work.

He recalled how impressed he was as a child by his mother's tales of how the displaced Maltese population coped with their suffering.

The lecture was followed by a reception during which many people of Maltese descent were able to talk with the speaker.
