AD candidates follow Obama's lead

Alternattiva Demokratika's MEP candidates Yvonne Arqueros Ebejer and Arnold Cassola have gone for a catchy if totally unoriginal slogan for their European Parliament campaign: 'Yes we can'.

Adopting a tried and tested formula, although facing a different audience and different challenges, the AD MEP candidates' message is targeting voters who might think that a vote for AD is wasted.

"You can bring about change with your vote on June 6. The serious polls, including the poll commissioned by the European Parliament, show that we can make it.

Yes we can!" said AD chairman and MEP candidate Arnold Cassola during a meeting in Valletta yesterday. The message appears to be an attempt to convince eligible voters that the impossible can happen.

"This can be your chance to make sure that an AD MEP makes it to Brussels. Deep down, many people know this, Mr Cassola said"
