New general manager at InterContinental Malta

Giuseppe Vincelli has been appointed general manager of InterContinental Malta. Mr Vincelli, who is Italian, has been working within the tourism industry for over 21 years. In 2004, he joined the InterContinental Hotels Group as director of business development at InterContinental De La Ville in Rome and then was appointed hotel manager at the same hotel two years later.

Last year Mr Vincelli moved to Murica, Spain, as general manager of InterContinental Mar Menor Golf Resort & Spa and InterContinental La Torre Golf Resort. As general manager of these two properties, his main responsibilities and targets were to organise, manage, develop and coordinate all activities of the existing hotel, InterContinental Mar Menor, and to develop and coordinate all activities related to the opening of the new hotel - InterContinental La Torre.

In Malta Mr Vincelli's goal, together with his team, is to position the InterContinental Malta as the conference hotel on the island and at the same time, be strongly considered as the ideal hotel for leisure and corporate individual travellers.
