Recently in Miami Beach, Mifsud Brothers Ltd - Malta Cruise Services was voted as one of the Top 10 Best Port Agents. The award was presented by the senior vice president of operations of The World of ResidenSea, Emilio Freeman.

Mr Freeman said: "These awards, which are determined by the feedback received from the various onboard departments, reflect the professionalism in offering six-star service to both The World and her high-level clientele".

The award ceremony took place at Starr's Bar on the Oceanfront Pool Deck of the Ritz-Carlton, Miami Beach just days before the Cruise Shipping Conference and Exhibition which is the largest annual cruise event where major players in the industry are present.

The World of ResidenSea is a luxury cruise ship carrying a discerning clientele who are known as residents (rather than guests) as they literally live in apartments and the vessel sails around the globe according to the residents' requests. Malta and Gozo were one of the few ports that have been visited two years in succession as a direct appeal of the residents since the vessel's policy is not to call in the same ports from one year to another.

Ivan Mifsud, managing director of Mifsud Brothers Ltd., said: "This could not have been achieved without the dedicated work of Massimo Schembri, MBL's port operations manager and the invaluable support of Viset, the Malta Maritime Authority and the Ministry for Gozo as well as the support from our carefully selected suppliers."
