The concert, on Friday, will feature two groups of talented young performers, the Ensemble Pianoflauti II and the SMS-String Quartet. The highlight of the evening will be a performance by guest artist baritone Benno Schollum who will sing accompanied by his daughter, Sophie, on the piano.

The recital, which will take place at the mediaeval church of Santa Marija ta' Bir Miftuħ (which can be reached by turning left at the roundabout before Luqa airport) has been made possible by courtesy of the Austrian Embassy in collaboration with MIA plc.

The programme includes a varied repertoire of music from Schubert, Copland, Haydn, Kronke, Mendelssohn, Farkas, Kember, Gattermeyer and Von Steen.

The fund raising concert starts at 8 p.m. with the proceeds going to Din l-Art Ħelwa restoration programmes.

Tickets cost €20 per person, including refreshments after the performance.
