Biography

A practicing litigious lawyer since 1977, Emmy Bezzina is also a well-known broadcaster and one of the pioneers of live transmissions in the local broadcasting scene. He is an accomplished oratorical communicator and author of diverse contributions on various social issues.

Dr Bezzina is Head of his own Law Firm, founder of the Malta Divorce Movement & Family Rights` Association, a Salzburg Alumnus, and sits on the International Council of the Universal Peace Federation which is affiliated to the United Nations.

Dr Bezzina, a born Liberal, founded his Alpha Liberal Democratic Party in March 2004 on which ticket he contested the EU Parliamentary Elections in June that same year. He considers himself to be a strict adherent to an individual`s fundamental rights in whatever format and will fight on and on to bring about or preserve such rights.

Dr Bezzina has dedicated his life literally to ameliorate the insularity of his country`s mentality which rendered him controversial though well-intentioned. However, he strongly believes that the private and public dichotomy in one`s life should be retained strictly distinct and separate.

Once in a commitment, Dr Bezzina gives it his utmost and thus he will be if elected as a Member of the European Parliament.
