EU Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso should rethink his position against an EU summit on migration, AD chairman Arnold Cassola said.

The proposal for such a summit was submitted Italy and found Malta's support.

Prof. Cassola said: "Barroso should stop acting as a bureaucrat and instead act as a politician with a vision. All member states should come together to discuss this important issue. It is important that the European Union member states come up with a longterm migration management programme and have a common approach to migration."
