Air Malta announces reduced fares for voters
Air Malta said today that it is making travel arrangements for eligible Maltese voters currently abroad to travel on its flights to vote in the forthcoming MEP election on June 6. The return fare will be €35.
Those persons exercising their right to vote on May 30 ecan also benefit from this arrangement.
The scheme applies to eligible voters whose names appear on the last Electoral Register, including those married to foreigners, studying, working or undergoing medical treatment abroad and also to their dependents (under 18 years of age).
This offer is available from today to Sunday June 14, both dates inclusive. Eligible voters should travel to Malta between May18 and June 6 June and travel back between May 30 and June 14.
Reservations may not be changed and tickets are non-refundable. All relevant details that include names and surnames, addresses in Malta, ID card numbers, email addresses, credit cards details and contact phone numbers (including mobile number) will be required at the booking stage prior authorisation of any ticket issuance. Details for dependents should include age, followed by date of birth.
Air Malta will also be operating extra flights from Luxemburg on June 4 and 7.
Flight reservations are only to be made through Air Malta’s Call Centre on numbers (00356) 23645320.

What about those who make use of the flight and then do not care to go to vote?

I want a to go and vote in Germany or the UK am I eligible to a fare? Not bad, from the 30th to the14th of June, a nice cheap holiday for some, surely this will boost the number of tourists for May/June. NSO take notice.
