Christian Zammit, 26, Labour's first ever Gozitan candidate for European Parliament elections, says that he wants to rekindle the interest of young people in politics.
"They have to involve themselves in politics if they want to make their voice heard," he tells Herman Grech in the in the first of a series of six minute interviews with most of the EP candidates.
And he says he does not consider anyone as being a heavyweight in the race.
Mr Zammit calls for direct talks with Libya on immigration and says he would vote in favour should be ever be asked to vote on divorce.
