Pro-rector Mary Anne Lauri earlier this month presented the following students with the Dean of Science awards for excellence in the Natural Sciences and Mathe-matics:
First year students: Caroline Borg (Biology and Chemistry), Yanika Borg and Nadya Galea (both Maths, Statistics and Operations Research);
Second year students: Paul Herrera (Biology and Chemistry), Andrew Mifsud (Maths and Physics), Marika Sciriha (Maths, Statistics and Operations Research);
Third year students: Alison Muscat (Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Maths), Chantelle Said and Alan Tua (both Maths and Physics);
Fourth year students: Elizabeth Aquilina and Anthony Galea (both Maths and Physics), and Maria Micallef (Biology and Chemistry).
Ms Aquilina, the final year B.Sc. student who placed first overall was awarded the new Bank of Valletta Prize for Science.
Last month, Faculty of Arts dean Dominic Fenech presented the Arts Dean's List awards to the following students BA (Hons) students who achieved 'A' grades in at least 80 credits during the first two years of their course, without any fails or resits: Joseph Anthony Debono (Classics), Olivia Debrincat (Italian) and Christian Kemp (Sociology).
