The marriage took place on May 2 at St John of the Cross parish church, Ta' Xbiex, between NICOLAS, son of Mr and Mrs Charles Bezzina, and MARIA, daughter of Mrs Edwige Xuereb and the late Mr Paul Xuereb, ex-Acting President of Malta. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Jesmond Grech. The ceremony was witnessed by Dr Clive Karl Bezzina, MD, MRCS (UK), MFSEM (UK), and Dr Audrey Ann Costa, B.Ch.D. Mr Konrad Bezzina, BE&A (Hons.) and Dr Conrad Costa, B.Ch.D., acted as best men. The bride was attended by Dr Christine Bezzina, BA, LL.M. (Lond.), LL.D., Ms Maronia Azzopardi and Dr Roberta Vella, MD. A reception was later held at Villa Marija, Żurrieq. The couple spent their honeymoon in the Canary Islands.

The marriage took place on April 19, at St Agatha's church, Rabat, between CLAIRE, daughter of Mr and Mrs Anthony Gatt of St Paul's Bay, and CHRISTIAN, son of Mr and Mrs Raymond Zammit of San Ġwann. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Paul Attard, OFM. The ceremony was witnessed by Professor Angela Xuereb and Mr Glen Lethridge. Mr Kurt Spiteri Cornish and Mr Ryan Zammit carried out the duties of best men. The bride was attended by Natalie Schembri and bridesmaids Angele Bianchi and Cristina Gatt, Maria Gatt was flower-girl. Mark Gatt and Thomas Zammit acted as ushers and Emanuel Borg was ring bearer. A reception was later held at Villa Mdina, Naxxar. The couple and their parents would like to thank all those who rendered their services to make this a memorable day and the guests for sharing their joy on this special occasion. In appreciation they will be making a contribution to a recognised environmental organisation committed to the conservation of nature in Malta.

Obituaries
BORG. On May 16, JOSEPHINE, aged 91, ex-dental nurse at St Luke's Hospital, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Victor and his children Carmen, Anna, Mario and their spouses, the children of her late sister Mary Perrett, Harriet, George, Anthony, Vince, Charles, Imelda, Martin and their spouses. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9 a.m. for Sacro Cuor, Sliema, where Mass presaente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m. No flowers by request but donations to St Clare's Monastery, St Julian's, will be appreciated.
TANTI. On May 7, in Germany, MARGARET, aged 58, passed away peacefully after an illness. She was surrounded by her family and she leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Alfred and her cherished sons Kenneth and Michael. Loved sister of Mary, Roby, Doris, their spouses and Anna. She will be missed by all her family and dear friends. A remembrance service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St Gregory's parish church, Sliema. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations are kindly given to The Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan.
