Caravans parked at Ġnejna Bay

I refer to the report 'Caravan owners clash with Mġarr residents' (The Sunday Times, May 10) and on behalf of the owners of the land in question at Ġnejna Bay I wish to clarify the following:

The land on which the caravans are being placed is privately owned;

No permission of any sort has been given to anyone to place caravans on this land;

The placing of such caravans or any other structures is abusive, and in breach of the property rights of the co-owners. It is impossible for the co-owners to take legal action against all the caravan owners because they are unknown to them and it would be impossible to serve all of them with a court summons;

The co-owners have asked the police for their intervention by removing the caravans;

The placing of such caravans is also in breach of a by-law issued by the Mġarr council in 2007.
