New ambassadors appointed

The government has appointed Charles Inguanez ambassador to Russia and George Cassar to Libya.

Mr Inguanez is an experienced diplomat who served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for over 22 years.

He has served in Brussels and Tunis and has occupied a number of senior positions within the ministry.

Since March 2006 to date Mr Inguanez has been Director General, European and Economic Affairs.

Dr Cassar acted as legal adviser and company secretary and served on the board of directors of a number of companies taking responsibility of a managerial, commercial, financial and legal nature.
