A man born in Egypt but holding Maltese citizenship, 42-year-old Samir Lotfi Fahim Tawdrous, this morning pleaded not guilty to threatening a person with a knife in Hamrun yesterday.
He was also accused of breaching the peace and of being in possession of a weapon.
Mr Tawdrous was kept in preventive custody.
ACCUSED OF STEALING CARS
A Valletta resident was this morning denied bail after pleading not guilty to stealing three vehicles.
Raymond Borg, 39, was accused of stealing a Ford Transit from a garage in Fgura, a Toyota Dyna from Birkirkara and a Subaru 700 from Valletta.
He was also charged with receiving stolen goods and of being a relapser.
PLEADS GUILTY TO ACCEPTING STOLEN GOODS
George Cassar, 40, of Birkirkara was given a six-month jail term suspended to four years after pleaded guilty to accepting stolen goods to the value of between €232.94 and €2,329.37.
He was also accused of being a relapser.
