Ten tourism projects in pipeline for Gozo
There were ten applications for the European Regional Development Fund's Grant Scheme for Sustainable Tourism Projects by Enterprises, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi told Anton Refalo (PL) in reply to a parliamentary question. One of the projects was submitted by a Maltese operator.
There was a total of €10 million allocated to the scheme, of which €8.5 million were coming from EU funds and €1.5 million from national funds.

totally agree with a ferriggi!
what we need is "Less talk and more action" no need for all these consultans to tell us what we aready know and need to improve our dive sites. Just get it done...no more waiting.
Another season is here and still we wait.......

i wonder what these 'sustainable' projects for the 'eco-island' are? building more hotels to be turned into apartments later perhaps? i wonder at where the eco island concept is going and who is benefiting with some of the new building projects in the pipeline!

attention Dr Gonzi, Dr Said and Ms Debono
may i URGE STRONGLY,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, for INCREASED facilities for diving and divers.
this is a BIG REVENUE earner, with top quality spending tourists.
VERY BASIC amenities close to dive sites in gozo can make a HUGE difference.
some parking space, a shower or two, TOILETS,,,, and some protection/shade.
and also AT CIRKEWWA please. how long should this rendering industry wait??
a marine reserve no-fishing couple of hundred meters of coast will not hurt!!
