Chiara chills out

Chiara barely slept with the adrenaline rush and excitement of last night, so she spent the day at the hotel unwinding and taking calls from well-wishers.
Apart from a couple of interviews lined up with foreign journalists later today, she has no other plans, except for a celebratory dinner with her relatives, who have come up to Moscow to support her.
Rehearsals don't start again before Friday, once the remaining 10 countries from tomorrow's semi-final would have been announced. This gives Chiara the chance to catch her breath and gain momentum for the final leap.
Everyone was in a cheery mood all day, relishing the fact that Malta would be competing in Saturday's final of the Eurovision Song Contest after an absence of two years.
From the outset, the main goal of PBS, which was entrusted with organising the local event for the first time, was to secure a place in the final, and Chiara was the person to break the spell.
Replying to comments made online that the delegation was "having a holiday" at taxpayers' expense, PBS chief executive Albert Debono said the delegation had ensured that the entire trip, complete with air fares and hotels, was funded through private sponsorships.
The budget for the Malta Eurosong Festival was €45,000 and this just about covered the organisation of the local event, it was pointed out.

PBS chief executive Albert Debono:
For transparency's sake - could you publish all expenses and name all the sponsors and how much they've contributed.

Not at all easy to bring this contest home. Competition is harsh and if one tries to look at it from an objective non byased perspective, Chiara is just another one of the ballad sung by the ladies with powerful voices, unlike Norway which are represented by an outstanding young and hip boy!
@ Chiara. True your voice is great, but apart from the fact that your voice did not come through as strong as it usually is, try performing with less aggression and diva attitude and give us more of the "fat girl that we love, wink at the end" simplicity.
It seems that we have taken to mistake stage aggression for good performance. Last year stunner Morena's song could make do with the aggressive energy which we called strong stage presence but a romantic ballad should be presented sweetly.
Good luck Chiara!
Good luck Malta!

Well done Chiara. It was a joy to watch you on TV, to hear your beautiful voice ringing through the auditorium and last but not least looking very elegant. Therefore, good luck for Saturday, keep cool, and once again do what you do best, SING and use your enchanting voice to the end.

Even though your voice was not as impeccable as usual (excitement has paid its toll), you still managed to take us where our last 3 representives have failed to take us. The fact that you have made it to the final, should ease the excitement inhibiting you from giving the excellent performance you are capable to.
You have already made us proud. I'm sure you are capable to make us even more proud with an impeccable performance, next Saturday.
Goodluck Chiara
