Deidun calls for policy on domestic wind energy equipment
Nationalist EP candidate Alan Deidun has urged the governemnt to draw up guidelines on domestic wind energy equipment.
Speaking during a visit to Di Natura alternative energy shop in Birkirkara, , Dr Deidun said that while the government had announced proposals for three wind energy plants, a policy on domestic wind energy equipment also needed to be drawn up.
He pointed out that while many complained about the noise which wind energy equipment caused, there was now on the market equipment which was small, efficient, and not any noiser than ordinary traffic.

My compliments to Alan Deidun for the suggestion of the HELIX system of wind turbines.
The good news is that not only are these turbines extremely silent but they are not an eye-sore, they needn't be set at a high area and .... extremely important, they are very animal-friendly.
The only fly in the ointment could be the price for a domestic version of such a turbine - I couldn't find any prices, try as I could. But once again, congrats.
