WWI postcards, silks exhibition
An exhibition of various types of postcards used during the World War One (1914 - 1918), together with silk souvenirs of the period is being held in the University library exhibition area until May 22 during the library's opening hours: Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12.15 p.m.
Cookery and national ideology
Elise Billiard, lecturer in material culture in the University's Anthropology Division and a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Provence, France, will deliver a presentation entitled 'Cookery books and Maltese national ideology' tomorrow at 6 p.m. at the Mediterranean Institute, room 124, as part of the Work in Progress in the Social Studies lecture series.

The following are lectures on Italian linguistics to be delivered by Ignazio Putzu from the Università degli Studi di Cagliari, and by Stefania Scaglione, Maria Rosa Capozzi and Stefania Scaglione from the Università per Stranieri, Perugia, organised by the Department of Arts and Languages and the Department of Italian:

Madison University summer school
The Institute of Health Care in collaboration with the Foundation for International Studies are organising the sixth James Madison University summer school between Wednesday and June 8.
IHC director Sandra Buttigieg is co-ordinating the projects of this year's summer school, which will focus on type 1 diabetes, nutrition, obesity, dementia, mental health, perinatal mental health and parenthood.
