I read Prof. Alfred Cuschieri's letter (The Sunday Times, May 3) in connection with the events surrounding Angelik Caruana.
Mr Caruana is not a professor and nor am I, but I wish to ask Prof. Cuschieri a couple of questions. To start with, did he ever try to go and see for himself what is really happening to this poor man?
Has he got any idea what pain Mr Caruana is going through? Does he have any right to question God, or for that matter Our Lady? Why did she choose this poor man?
Why is it that smart professionals always cite studies to prove the truth to people wherever religious events are concerned? Can the professor tell us, above all, if he believes God created the earth?
Did he ever try to work out why there are three in one, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost? When will these people understand God's way? When are they going to accept that whenever God wants to give the world a message, He always used poor innocent people and not smart ones?
Can Prof. Cuschieri tell us what Mr Caruana and his family should gain by all this?
